About Green Ranch

Craig and Lori Green live and ranch in the small town of Branson, Colorado. Located in the southeast corner of the state, their pastures have some of the healthiest soil and highest quality grasslands in Colorado.

The ranch was started in the 1920s by Craig’s grandparents. In the 1980s, with a few cows from Lori’s parents and some from Craig’s grandfather, the young couple entered the cattle business for themselves. In 2008, they purchased some adjoining land to grow the ranch and continue to be mindful stewards of their beloved grasslands.

Why does the Meet America mission matter to them?

Meet America offers consumers the opportunity to buy beef directly from the producers. This brings the best beef right to the families. We are happy to serve on the board of Meet America

What do they hope for the future of their ranch?

We plan to continue raising our red Angus cattle as long as our health allows."There are other ways to make a living but not a better way to make a life"

Their favorite way to eat their beef:

Basque Pot Roast

1 beef roast 3 to 5 lbs
1 bottle Catalina French Salad dressing
1 small jar green olives

Put roast in slow cooker, season roast, pour dressing over roast. Cook slowly for 5 to 6 hours, until meat is done and separates easily. Add olives during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Enjoy!
