In 2018, Meet America set out to connect small, local ranchers with consumers who were looking for a better beef-buying experience: convenient access to high-quality beef to feed their families, a no-nonsense, transparent process, and peace of mind in the knowledge that their food was ethically and locally produced. We have succeeded in giving customers that experience while strengthening our ranches along the way.
Meet America operates with integrity and is built on the family values of honest, hardworking ranchers. Simply put: the big guys are doing business wrong, so we’re here to take purposeful action to give consumers a better, more transparent alternative. Families like yours, with our beef on your dinner tables, can rest easy knowing that your meat was ethically sourced.
We work hard to eliminate the lack of clarity, confusion, and misinformation facing most consumers when they try to research the source and story behind the meat they buy. Ironically, while our beautiful home states of Colorado and Wyoming are known for beef production, most grocery stores carry meat from several foreign countries, including Australia, Brazil, and Mexico; which the big packers disguise as American beef with the "Product of U.S." label. And this is true across the country. In sharp contrast, Meet America keeps our customers well-informed through a clear, simple process that begins at our ranches and ends in their homes. Information, including livestock breed and feed, ranch locations, and even the history of the ranching families who raise the livestock, is at their fingertips.
Meet America was founded to protect consumers by providing quality food and ultimate transparency while revitalizing small ranches that don’t want to sacrifice quality for sales, and delivering premium beef direct to customers’ doorsteps for convenience, enjoyment, and health of their families. And because we’re all about getting back to those good old-fashioned family values, there’s an element of nostalgia in what we’re doing - simpler times and honest ways. Rest assured, this is only the beginning. We’re committed to leading this movement across the nation, one ranch, and one family at a time. Join us as we Meet America.
Ferocity
Meet America is fiercely passionate about three things: the customers whose lives we enhance, the delicious high-quality beef we deliver to their doorsteps and the small, local ranchers we fortify. These are the pillars of our business.Grit
It’s a story as old as David and Goliath; the little guy is victorious because he has serious grit- and a secret weapon in his corner. At Meet America, it’s our grit and dogged determination that have helped us “quit the herd” (big box meat suppliers) and persevere, driving success for small ranchers.Exceptionality
Meet America over-delivers in every single facet of our business. From our next-day delivery to transparent, clean-conscience sourcing to supplying the most mouthwatering beef you’ll find…we want your, “Wow!”, from pasture to the last bite.
Transparency
Transparency is what makes Meet America different. Unlike most of the competition, we are committed to informing customers about the farms and ranches they’re buying from, the breeds of cattle they’re consuming, the feed they’ve been raised on, and even the histories of the farms and ranches themselves. We are proud to be the place where local meat has a story.
Connection
Meet America is firmly rooted in the belief that consumers should feel connected to their food sources. By connecting consumers to the ranchers who grow and supply their meat, we ensure that our customers always know the story behind the beef they are consuming.Wholesomeness
Meet America’s simple, honest process delivers wholesome products, from wholesome ranchers to be part of wholesome meals for American families. Our hearts are in this and it shows, from farm to table. For small farmers and ranchers like ours, each of whom owns a few hundred cows at most, it’s almost impossible to get to market at a fair price as the beef industry is controlled by big-money meat suppliers. Without Meet America’s simple ranch-to-table process, honest family-owned-and-operated ranches are in jeopardy.
Go ahead, try it for yourself. It’s the best dang meat you’ll ever eat.
Craig and Lori Green live and ranch in the small town of Branson, Colorado. Located in the southeast corner of the state, their pastures have some of the healthiest soil and highest quality grasslands in Colorado.
The ranch was started in the 1920s by Craig’s grandparents. In the 1980s, with a few cows from Lori’s parents and some from Craig’s grandfather, the young couple entered the cattle business for themselves. In 2008, they purchased some adjoining land to grow the ranch and continue to be mindful stewards of their beloved grasslands.
The Greens take pride in raising excellent, high-quality Red Angus. Their cattle are lovingly cared for all year round, and many calving seasons have brought new baby calves to Craig and Lori’s porch on cold Colorado nights to keep them warm.
The cattle are fed with grass hay and a special mixture of cottonseed, vitamins, and minerals to provide the best possible meat for others to enjoy.
Clark Anvil Ranch is located on the short grass prairie of Lincoln County, Colorado in the east central part of the state. Owned and operated by the Clinton Clark family for nearly 50 years, the ranch provides excellent-quality, home-raised beef. The Clark family's registered herds of cattle are selected and bred to produce the best beef possible.
The family works long hours not only to raise and care for their cattle but also to grow the hay, corn and others grains to feed them. Their fondest hope is to see the production of top quality beef from Clark Anvil Ranch continue to the next generation and generations to come.
The most amazing grain-finished beef comes from the Prairie Dog Creek Cattle Company in Dresden, Kansas.
The ranch was first started by Merlin Anderson, a Korean War veteran, and his wife, Bonnie, in 1955. The Andersons committed their lives to the ranch and improving their cattle herd each step of the way. In 2005, Merlin and Bonnie were ready to retire so they sold the operation to Michael and Kelly Wasson.
Michael and Kelly had helped on the ranch for several years, and the Andersons knew they would continue managing it with the same high standards they had. The Wassons had always dreamed of having their own operation and raising their family in a rural community, so this was their dream come true.
Today, the Wassons own and operate Prairie Dog Creek Cattle Company, but maintain a close mentorship relationship with the Andersons. They raise Registered Red Angus cattle and strive to produce the highest quality of beef, even winning the prestigious Grid Master award for several years, which is given to only the highest quality cattle. Michael and Kelly live on the ranch with their three children Michaela, Mitchell, and Macy.
